Hot with a chance of showers. High pressure lies over the region, centered to the east. A front sits across the Virginias and into the Ohio Valley; it wavers north and south, remaining essentially in place through midweek. There will be a good chance of showers near the front. Largely dry in the Southeast with some isolated to scattered showers each day. Hot with highs in the 90s, lows in the 70s.

 

OUTLOOK:

Overview: Epidemic spread likely near the MD source, possible elsewhere along the central and southern Atlantic Seaboard. Tranport events tend to track near the sources and to the east. Most events are surrounded by slightly favorable to mixed conditions.

Muggy with scattered showers. High pressure extends over the region from the western Atlantic. Heat and humidity are in all areas under sunny to partly cloudy skies. Weak surface and upper-level features will aid the formation of scattered showers in varying areas. Hot with highs mostly in the 90s, lows mostly in the 70s.

 

OUTLOOK:

Overview: Epidemic spread possible in the lower mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Conditions for epidemic spread will be slightly favorable to mixed. Transport events move near the sources for the most part.

Warm to hot with a chance of showers. High pressure straddles either side of  a stalled front that lies across the Southeast. Areas north of the front are in drier air and will see lesser chances of rain; scattered showers are possible for much of the Southeast. Highs in the 80s and 90s, lows in the 60s and 70s, with a warming trend.

Overview: Epidemic spread possible in the Southeast. Transport events move near the sources, generally. Slightly favorable to mixed conditions prevail, focused toward the Southeast.

Unsettled summertime weather. The extension of the Bermuda High extends over the Southeast. Weak surface troughs are present. More substantial fronts lie to the north and west, one of which will move into the northern sections on Thursday and stall. Sunny to partly cloudy skies and mainly afternoon and evening showers and storms are expected for most locations. Highs in the 80s and 90s, lows in the 60s and 70s.

 

OUTLOOK:

Overview: Epidemic spread likely for portions of the Southeast. Mixed to favorable conditions continue to predominate during the transport events. Events tend to move near the sources and to the east to northeast.

Unsettled weather. Sunny to partly cloudy skies are expected across the region each day with increasing cloudiness into the afternoons. Scattered to numerous showers and storms will occur in the afternoons and evenings. The best chance of showers accompanies a front that will move through the Carolinas into GA today and then retreat northward on Tuesday. Highs mostly 80s, lows in the 60s and 70s.

Overview: Epidemic spread likely. Mixed to favorable conditions dominate the transport events. Little in the way of long-range transport is anticipated, though short to mid-range transport and effective deposition are quite probable.
